What our clients say

been here several times. food is always amazing. i get the sunshine chicken usually. DELICIOUS!!!!! 10/10. the people are super cool here too always good vibes. & great music taste (; my comfort place after work lol if you’re thinking of coming here just do it

Very delicious food with a super friendly owner. Myself and another customer were chatting with him for a while shortly after they opened. I ordered the pork, and you get a big portion of very juicy and flavorful pork served with fluffy rice and a macaroni salad. Everything was cooked fresh in front of us and the inside is very cozy and well-maintained.

Will definitely come back in the future, I think it’s my favorite restaurant in the Krate. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting.

Amazing food. Owners Franco and Barbara were very knowledgeable and polite. Great place for food at the Krates. First time here and definitely will be back. Even had our own serenade with Franco playing the ukulele.

What a beautiful experience, they made us feel like we were in their home sharing a meal. The food is delicious, and live yukilleli (compliments of the chef); such great hospitality. Would love to come back. Thank you all. 😊

Very unique and quite tasty! Prices are out of control everywhere and I understand it is getting harder for businesses to survive so I have to extend some grace in that regard but they did a great job on the food prep and service! I had the Teriyaki beef with rice and macaroni salad and a cherry shaved ice for a total of $24. 2 x $12 = $24 and I remember in the not so distant past when three people could get meals for about that total, $8 – $10 each. Everything tasted great. The shaved ice was very unique and delicious!

Definitely worth the visit. My 2nd time here and certainly NOT my last 😁
My father and I ate the sunshine chicken plate and it was AWESOME. The owner is friendly and it’s a small family owned business. The new employee gave it to us as a togo instead of on a plate, which we totally didn’t mind 🙂 We got some yummy ice cream too!!!

I brought my family here who flew into town and the experience and food was amazing!! Me and my son live here and we come all the time.

Delicious food and very friendly service! I got the noodle soup with sunshine chicken added on top and a Neapolitan shaved ice. The owners are so nice and accommodated us very nicely in the small space inside the restaurant. You can tell the food is authentic, fresh, and homemade! The dashi broth in the soup is delicious. We will definitely be back!

Wow! Food was fantastic. Highly recommend the teriyaki beef. Had almost made it back to our car and decided to go back and get 2 of the teriyaki beef to go. Did I mention that the teriyaki beef is awesome. Also the owner took it over the top by putting on music and playing his guitar and singing while we had our lunch. He also shared a lot of the history of how they got their business going. Made for a very memorable lunch, thank you.

I like this space! I wish it was a bit bigger, but the space brings in the local air! My friend and I came by for the noodles and the rice! I wish the cold Mac salad had more of a flavor to it. /:

And was hoping the beef was better seasoned. It didn’t seem up to par with my friends expectations when I introduced him to this place.

I really enjoyed the noodles with Spam. The salty spam was the perfect balance to the sweet noodles. I did not care for the pork or the egg in the noodles however. I would have liked more Spam. Next time I will order a double serving of Spam. My friends reccommend the Noori in addition to the Spam but I did not try that.

The food was quite good… but the staff was even better! This restaurant has a very family friendly atmosphere with an amazing team. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcomed you with a warm “aloha” at the door. The Saimin noodles were delicious and it paired perfectly with the Musubi. This food was too good to share. Today was my first time eating at this restaurant and I can say I did not regret it. I have found a new favorite spot and plan to come back frequently. They made my lunch very special. I highly recommend giving Palani’s Hawai’i Noodles a try!

Such a delightful spot. We had a chance to chat with the owner and hear his story about opening the restaurant and all of the family recipes. I had the sainin bowl and my friends had the teriyaki pork and beef – so good. And omg, the spam is to die for! We need to try the shaved ice next time.
